Tuesday Pop Review- Seasons 52 Fresh Grill

Hello all, welcome back to Pop Review Tuesday on my blog!  This afternoon I attended a business lunch meeting at Seasons 52 Fresh Grill, a restaurant in Coral Gables, FL.  Since I have never eaten there, I figured I would review it for my readers!

Seasons 52 is a restaurant with locations in nine states nationwide.  Though technically a “chain” restaurant, its owners characterize as a “change” restaurant, or one that embraces innovation and evolution of its menu.  To that end, Seasons 52 prides itself on changing its menu 3-4 times per year.

In terms of its food, Seasons 52’s key selling point is that each of its meals has no greater than 475 calories.  As someone who is getting married in a few weeks, it was quite refreshing to look at a menu and realize that EVERYTHING on it is healthy, so no need to skip right to the salads!

Today, I had a buffalo burger topped with guacamole, a roasted pepper salsa and a chili sour cream.  The burger, like all sandwiches, comes with a side organic salad.  It was absolutely delicious.  Of course, to accommodate a 475 calorie ceiling, it is obviously not the half-pound sized burger that we normally see in restaurants these days.  I found it perfect for a lunch portion but if I was going for dinner, I would probably order an appeteizer as well.

Some of the other attractive items on the lunch menu including Sonoma Goat Cheese Ravioli, Tiger Shrimp Penne Pasta, Maui Tuna Crunch Salad, and Blackened Fish Tacos.  All items were reasonably priced in the $10-$15 range.  The dinner menu is fairly similar with the inclusion of some additional pork and beef dishes.

In the intangibles column, the restaurant is immaculate and elegantly decorated, with most patrons in upscale casual or business attire.  Service was friendly yet extremely professional.

I would highly recommend a trip to this restaurant if you have one in your area.  You can visit its website at www.seasons52.com.
